Visiting Local Parks
Equipment:
None except what you may wish to use in the park during your visit.
Licenses:
None for local parks but State Parks require a valid Discover Pass
Decisions:
Parks are your playground, paid for with your tax dollars in an effort to give you more space to enjoy being outdoors. Parks function as a gathering place for people. Parks are ready for you to use. Not all parks are the same. Finding out what is available can be interesting, then decide how to use it.
Park Features:
Not all parks are the same. In the greater Seattle area one or more parks may offer the following: Saltwater swimming pool. 20-foot Troll, exercise stations, dog walks, pea patches, art walk, kite and/or drone flying area, velodrome for bikes, miniature golf, track, beach walk, tennis or pickleball, basketball, soccer, fishing, picnics, music, plays and other community gathering events.
Research:
Check online or with your local park to see what is being offered.
